Community Engagement
United Way’s call to LIVE UNITED asks all of us to support our community through three specific actions: GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER. In Madison County, United Way provides giving opportunities through an annual community campaign and support to Friend to Friend utility assistance, Homeward Bound Walk and gifts to specific initiatives, including Planned Giving opportunities.
United Way provides information to the community about issues related to the common good through a monthly e-newsletter, quarterly print newsletter, monthly newspaper column and other communications.
United Way also facilitates volunteer opportunities through numerous community partnerships and special events such as Operation Weatherization and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. |
