About the United Way of Madison County
Your United Way is one of approximately 1300 local United Way’s nationally.
United Way of Madison County is working to advance the common good by focusing on Education, Income and Health. These are the building blocks for a good life – a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through
retirement, and good health.
Our goal is to great long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place. We invite you to be part of the change. Together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.
United Way’s call to LIVE UNITED asks all of us to support our community through three specific actions: GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER. In Madison County, United Way provides giving opportunities through an annual community campaign and support to Friend to Friend utility assistance, Homeward Bound Walk and gifts to specific initiatives, including Planned Giving opportunities.
United Way provides information to the community about issues related to the common good through a monthly e-newsletter, quarterly print newsletter, monthly newspaper column and other communications.
United Way also facilitates volunteer opportunities through numerous community partnerships and special events such as Operation Weatherization and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.
