President, Nancy Vaughan 
Nancy Vaughan was named President of United Way of Madison County March 1, 2006. She joined the United Way staff in November of 1998 following 16-year career in banking which included serving as the marketing director for Anderson Banking Company and assistant vice president for marketing for Citizens Bank.
She is a graduate of Madison Heights High School and Ball State University, with a degree in journalism.
Was a newspaper reporter for The Anderson Herald in the mid-1970s and have done free-lance writing for Madison County Monthly and Community Hospital Foundation.
Was an adjunct faculty member of Ivy Tech for 7 years, teaching college writing.
Current member of Anderson Rotary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, serving on the Education & Formation Commission. Previously served as a member, past president and district vice president of Anderson Noon Exchange Club; board member of Anderson Symphony Orchestra and Anderson/Madison County Visitors & Convention Bureau; chair of Indian Trails Festival, member of The Chamber Wake Up Committee, Chair of the St. Mary’s Parish Council.
Her family includes children: Andrew Brown, and Jama Badinghaus (husband Andy) which were recipients of the CMH Family of the Year Award in 2005. She is married to Steve Vaughan and had three stepsons: Ryan (Angie), Matthew (Katie) and Jonathon and four grandchildren. |
