United Way of Madison County is excited to partner with the Madison County Community Services Council for a book club in 2013! The goal of this book club is to educate ourselves about community challenges and opportunities in Madison County.
This month's books is: Caught in the Middle: America's Heartland in the Age of Globalism by Richard Longworth.
Why: Reading as a community group is a wonderful tool that can help focus our conversation and actions around community issues.
What: The book club will read three books per year, or about one every four months. Each book will address challenges and opportunities for making a positive impact in Madison County.
Where: Community Services Council meets at noon the second Wednesday of every month at the Salvation Army. At the end of every four months, we will send an e-mail to the group announcing our book discussion time/date!
