Golf Classic Volunteers

ANNUAL MEETING & VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DATE ANNOUNCED

Tuesday, March 10 6 p.m. - Anderson Country Club

Keith Trent, board chair for United Way, will emcee the United Way of Madison County's annual meeting Tuesday, March 10. The dinner event, which begins at 6 p.m. at Anderson Country Club, is open to all donors and volunteers.
 
Cost is $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight and reservations must be made in advance by calling 643-7493 by Monday, March 2.

The program will focus on recognition of volunteer leadership within the past year. Volunteer longevity awards will be presented and past board member Joyce Gaskill will be recognized for her tenure. Mike Dauss will emcee the LIVE UNITED Spirit Awards that celebrate the individuals that lent their personalities to the LIVE UNITED/Herald Bulletin ad campaign last fall.
 
Board members Katherine Holtzleiter, Duane Hoak, Jan Kaye, Kim Rogers-Hatfield, Bruce Stansberry, Tom VanOsdol and United Way intern, David Tabb will provide an overview of key community initiatives Born Learning, Community Access Network, Indiana Disaster Fund, Covering Kids and Families and the Volunteer Action Center that are driving the United Way's movement to change community conditions.

Deb Rasper will present the Business of the Year award and Dick May will present the 2009 Volunteer of the Year award to conclude the program. These annual awards recognize the achievements of outstanding volunteers and businesses that have contributed time, talent and financial support to our community.

Meeting sponsors include Community Hospital Anderson, First Merchants Bank, Saint John's Health System, St.Vincent Mercy Hospital and W.R. Dunkin and Son.
