Wohlberg Joins United Way
Daniel Wohlberg has recently joined the staff of United Way of Madison County as Youth Mentoring Initiative Coordinator. The initiative will be funded through a matching grant awarded through the Indiana Association of United Ways funded by the Lilly Endowment. Wohlberg will be working in the community with multiple partners to launch the initiative. "We're thrilled to have a coordinator with the experience and connections that Daniel brings to this initiative. The mentoring initiative has the potential to create great impact for our youth, our schools and our community," said Nancy Vaughan, president. Wohlberg is a graduate of Anderson High School and Anderson University, and a lifelong native of Madison County. Wohlberg most recently worked for the Christian Center as PR/Marketing Coordinator. He also was employed with Ivy Tech Community College and Shewsberry & Associates, a civil engineering firm in Indianapolis. While in High School, Wohlberg completed the Youth Leadership Academy and has since completed the Leadership Academy of Madison County class this past year. Wohlberg’s community activities have included planning the “Reality Check: Confronting Homelessness” event, tutoring at the Wilson Boy’s & Girl’s Club, President of Interact student Rotary Club, and he is currently serving his third year as a mentor to the Youth Leadership Academy of Madison County. “I’m enthusiastic about this initiative and the impact it will have in the community. There is a younger generation with untapped potential, and this is a great opportunity to cultivate leaders for Madison County’s future,” said Wohlberg.
