Volunteers Sought for Operation Weatherization

United Way is seeking volunteers to assist targeted low income families in Anderson, Alexandria, Elwood and Pendleton with home energy saving projects during the 5^th Annual Operation Weatherization.  This one-day event scheduled for Saturday, November 5 is presented by Vectren. Corporate volunteers, civic groups, families and individuals can register now through – October 7 to assist with the one-day project.

Volunteers may register online at www.VolunteerMadisonCounty.org or contact Kim Rogers-Hatfield at 765-643-7493 for a registration form.  Volunteers work in teams at selected energy inefficient homes in Anderson, Alexandria, Elwood and Pendleton, completing simple weatherization tasks such as caulking, weather stripping and plastic wrapping windows.
