United Way of Madison County Announces New RSVP Director
Georgeann Whitworth has recently joined United Way of Madison County as RSVP Director. Whitworth retired in March, 2013, from PNC Bank where she worked for 35 years, beginning as a teller and ending with Vice President of Business Banking for Madison County. In 2008 she was the recipient of the Character in Business award and was the recipient of the 2012 Ambassador of the Year award.
Whitworth has volunteered on the Corporation for Economic Development Board, Chamber of Commerce Board, Alternatives, Inc., and Anderson's Revolving Loan Fund Board. She currently is on the Financial Stability committee for United Way, member of the Greater Anderson Business Club, Community Hospital Foundation Board, Women in Philanthropy committee and has volunteered for many not for profit community fund raisers.
Whitworth will oversee the 55 and older volunteer program for United Way of Madison County as Kim Rogers-Hatfield, former director, moves into the role of Vice President of Operations for the organization. Whitworth's additional efforts will be focused on building relationships with volunteers, agencies and corporate volunteer programs to promote the organization's mission to provide a better life for every individual in Madison County through advancements in education, income and health.
