TARGET SHARE-A-TREE AND UNITED WAY BRING HOLIDAY CHEER TO FAMILIES IN NEED FOR 20 CONSECUTIVE YEARS

From December 18-22, Target stores across the country will celebrate the season of giving by donating 2,678 decorated holiday trees to United Way as part of the Target Share-a-Tree Program. United Way volunteers will distribute the decorated trees—worth an estimated $500,000—to families in need and partners such as shelters, community centers and childcare

Christmas and New Years Hours for United Way of Madison County The United Way of Madison County office will be closed Friday, December 24 and Monday, December 27, 2010 in observance of Christmas. The office will also be closed Monday, January 3, 2011 in observance of New Years Day. The office will be open December 28-31 to accept end of year contributions.

United Way joins national financial stability pilot

Our organization took a bold step this fall to help increase our capacity to address the issues of low income families. We applied for and were accepted into a pilot program with United Way Worldwide (UWW) that will provide a team of national experts to work with our local team to impact the number of lower-income families that are financially unstable.

Since the March 2008 launch of the United Way of Madison County/FamilyWize Prescription Card, Madison County’s uninsured families have saved over $1 million on the cost of prescription medication.

United Way of Madison County Closed Thanksgiving The United Way of Madison County office will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26. The office is located at 1201 E. 5th Street, Suite 1019, Anderson. Regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be observed Monday, November 29.
