The 12th Annual United Way/Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, presented by Community Hospital Anderson, raised over $41,000 on July 19 at Anderson Country Club. 37 teams along with 57 sponsors and over 30 volunteers helped to make the day a great success. Proceeds from the Golf Classic support several important local efforts by United Way and the Madison County Chamber for both individuals and businesses in our community.
These efforts include United Way’s countywide THRIVE Network that provides personalized coaching, resources and supports for those who are working yet financially struggling to make ends meet, free help to individuals in enrolling in healthcare, support of 2-1-1 and connection to available resources to those in need. Supported efforts by the Chamber include economic development, business networking and helping businesses connect to potential customers and resources in order to build a strong business community in Madison County.
At the Golf Classic, the Madison County Chamber and United Way also hosted the 5th Annual 50/50 Golf Ball Drop sponsored by Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing and Casino. The winner of the ball drop claimed nearly $1250 in winnings at the event
