Distribution is while supplies last.  People are asked to only go through the line one time so everyone can be served.

The SSVF Program continues to take on new veterans with new processes. Additional funds to assist those that are at risk of becoming homeless and those that are homeless.  Temporarily, the rules have changed on the amount of months that a veteran or veteran family can receive assistance.  This will go back to normal when the stay at home has been lifted.  If there are veterans that are homeless and cannot find shelter, we have some funds that can assist with emergency housing, on a case by case basis.

Ham and cheese sandwich sack lunch which will be available at the 10th Street Central Christian Church entrance every Friday beginning July 3rd and continuing through September 25th…this will be a sack lunch offered free to anyone who stops by between 11 AM and 1 PM.

In an attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), influenza, and other infectious diseases and to protect patients and employees, Community Health Network is further tightening visitor restrictions at hospital sites.
Beginning Friday, March 13, no visitors will be permitted at Community Hospital North, Community Hospital East, Community Hospital South, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, Community Behavioral Health, Community Howard Regional Health and Community Hospital Anderson. Helping Hands Food Pantry

Food distribution on the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  We are prebagging and will bring the food to the cars.  There will be no registration.  We are going to pass out tickets at 2:00 pm which will tell people what time to return for food.  We are asking for 2 families per car.  If people can not come at 2:00 for a ticket, they can come at 7:00 pm.

Lapel Community Food Pantry

OPEN Serving Stony Creek, Jackson and Green townships of Madison County Effective Friday, and through this period of isolation restrictions, the pantry will offer prepacked sacks or boxes of food items to eligible individuals and families on a weekly basis. (Meaning clients may come once a week.) The hours for this “drive-thru” program will be Friday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will be on site to direct clients through the line and volunteers will bring distributions to the car. (Remain in vehicle!). Due to increased need, each car can receive only one weekly distribution. Clients are asked to bring a picture ID and proof of address (utility or phone bill if current address differs from information on ID).

This application, once submitted, will come to my Deputy in an email, from the time she opens it, we have 72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, to make a determination on your application. We still require all the documentation, however, at this time, that will have to be emailed to us through here or you make copies and put them in an envelope with your name on it and put it in our mail slot.

Temporary closure of the Park Place Food Pantry...
Due to a COVID-19 presumptive positive diagnosis for one of our food pantry volunteers, we have decided to temporarily close the Park Place Food Pantry for seven days. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with a trusted public health expert. We apologize for the inconvenience to our pantry neighbors and thank you for your understanding.  
We plan to reopen Thursday, April 30th from 6-8pm. Any future closures/changes will be announced here on our Facebook page.

OPEN 10-12 Saturdays at the Ingalls Methodist Church, Offering fresh frozen meat, milk for parents with small children in the house, bread, cakes, pies, yogurt, canned goods and fresh produce in season. You must be a resident of Adams, Fall Creek or Green Townships to receive pantry assistance and a resident of Green Township for Township Assistance.


St.Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital (RUAH)

Ascension St. Vincent implemented updated temporary visitor restrictions at all of its hospitals to reduce the spread of viral respiratory infections, including COVID-19. 

The current visitation policy at Ascension St. Vincent hospitals across Indiana includes the following points:
- Points of entrance into buildings will be limited.
- All visitors will be screened when entering the building.
- If a visitor lives in a community with a confirmed case of COVID-19, he/she will be asked not to enter the building. Exceptions will be made for the parent/legal guardian of an inpatient minor with no other positive screens.
- If a visitor screens positive to any of these questions, or if he/she has a temperature of 100.1 degrees or higher, he/she will not be permitted to visit.
- Visitors under the age of 18 are not allowed unless they are an emancipated minor, the parent of a patient or other case-by-case exception.
- Visitors will not be allowed for patients with COVID-19 except for end-of-life situations.
- A parent/legal guardian will be allowed to stay with a minor child who is hospitalized for COVID-19.
- Local hospital leadership will determine further visitor restrictions at their discretion.

Vectren, a Centerpoint Energy Company
Utility assistance
Vectren will not disconnect customers while the Pandemic is going on. Vectren still has funds to assist with up to $200 for gas bills through our “Keep Service On” program if the customer is in a disconnect status.  If the customer calls our call center, the agent can see if they qualify and will take a quick application over the phone.  The program is income based and if the customer received energy assistance, more than likely they’ll qualify for this program, some fees may apply depending on account status.
