Health Care Enrollment

The United Way of Madison County along with its Covering Kids and Families Madison County partners provides help enrolling in the following health insurance programs.  This information is provided so you can learn more. But don’t worry—when you come in for a one-on-one appointment, we’ll help you determine what’s best for you and your needs.

Hoosier Healthwise (HHW)
HHW is Indiana’s health-care program for children age 0-18. HHW offers medical, dental, and vision coverage at little or no cost.

Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP)
HIP is Indiana’s health-care program for uninsured adult Hoosiers. HIP offers pregnancy, medical, dental, and vision coverage for a minimal, monthly contribution based on your income and family size.  Starting in 2019, some HIP members will be required to work, go to school, volunteer or participate in other qualifying Gateway to Work activities up to 20 hours a week for at least eight months a year.  If you would like more information about this new requirement, please click the logo below.

Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women (PEPW)
PEPW allows pregnant women to receive temporary coverage for prenatal care services only while their eligibility is being determined for other Indiana coverage.

Health Insurance Marketplace
The Health Insurance Marketplace is where individuals and small businesses not eligible for Indiana’s plans can shop for and buy private health insurance at reduced costs based on income and family size. Most applicants qualify for premium tax credits that lower the costs of coverage. All plans cover essential health benefits, pre-existing conditions, and preventative care.

If you or someone you know is currently uninsured or needs help with their coverage, complete an online referral, call 765-608-3062 or E-mail to learn more about available plans and to find the enrollment center closest to you. To get an estimate of the subsidies for which you may be eligible through the Marketplace, please use the calculator below.
