Pre-K Buddies

Why Become a Pre-K Buddy?

43% of  Kindergarten students in Madison County are not prepared to enter school.  Early childhood learning (age 0-5) is key to a child’s future success in school and learning.

What Can You Do?

You can volunteer to help improve the quality of preschool and childcare facilities across Madison County by becoming a Pre-K Buddy.

What Would I Do?

Pre-K Buddies will work with teachers by assisting in the classrooms.  Activities may include reading, playing games, doing puzzles, or other ways to help improve a child’s social and language skills.

Pre-K Buddies volunteer no more than 8 hours each month.  Times can be flexible, planned according to school’s and your schedule.
