Other Opportunities

RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) connects volunteers 55 and older to opportunities that make a difference in our community.  Through federal funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service, RSVP volunteers are matched with organizations in the focus areas of Economic Opportunity, Early Childhood Education, Environmental Stewardship, Disaster Services, Healthy Futures and Veterans Support.

Operation Weatherization is a volunteer project designed to help economically disadvantaged Madison County residents improve the energy-efficiency of their homes.  Volunteers are formed into teams and assigned homes to complete simple weatherization tasks such as installing plastic on windows, sealing windows and doors with caulk, or replacing incandescent bulbs with new energy efficient compact fluorescent bulbs.

Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD)
United Way of Madison County is a partner in the Madison County Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD) group.  As a part of this group we help provide and coordinate disaster volunteer efforts and relief funding in the event of a disaster.  Plans include training volunteers to set up and manage a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) to coordinate recovery volunteer relief efforts.

Collection Drives

We make it easy to coordinate collection drives. You’ll get a list of suggested items and helpful organizing tips, and we’ll connect your company or group with community organizations which can make the most of your donations.

Group Opportunities

The workplace is a great place to organize a volunteer group for community service projects. We make it easy by connecting your group with one-day or ongoing volunteer opportunities.  We can also help church groups, youth groups or service clubs connect with local agencies or upcoming events.

For Agencies

We are thrilled to work alongside so many wonderful non-profit partners throughout Madison County. If you have volunteer opportunities available to the community, we would love to share that information! Simply read through our guidelines and complete the online Volunteer Opportunity Form.
