DEADLINE FOR 2017 NOMINATIONS IS TUESDAY JANUARY 30, 2017

United Way of Madison County needs your help to recognize the achievements of volunteers that have contributed time, talent and financial support to our community. Each year during our annual meeting we award two Volunteer of the Year Awards to individuals in our community who have demonstrated superior devotion to volunteer efforts in our community.

POINTS TO CONSIDER

When completing the nomination form, please consider the following:

  • Does the nominee seek to understand the broad impact agenda of the organization?
  • Is the nominee results-oriented, focusing on measurable achievements while thinking strategically?
  • What is the nominee’s sense of commitment? Has he/she been actively involved more than 12 months and in more than one activity and/or service capacity?
  • Does the nominee promote engagement of other individuals and organizations? Does he/she seek broad and diverse interaction across the community?

 

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

  • A nomination form is required every year an individual is nominated.

ELIGIBILTY

  • Nominees must have served as a volunteer for the United Way Madison County and/or its agencies over a period of years.
  • All nominees must live in or volunteer within Madison County.
  • A nominee should demonstrate superior devotion to volunteer responsibilities.
  • Nominees may not be a paid staff member of United Way of Madison County, any certified agency, or any strategic initiative.

RSVP VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

  • Nominations should be submitted by enrolled RSVP stations.
  • A nomination form is required every year an individual is nominated.

ELIGIBILTY

  • Nominees must have served as a volunteer for the RSVP of Madison County and an enrolled RSVP station for a minimum of one year.
  • All nominees must live in or volunteer within Madison County.
  • A nominee should demonstrate superior devotion to volunteer responsibilities.
  • Nominees may not be a paid staff member of United Way of Madison County, any station, any certified agency or any strategic initiative.
